We replaced the starter it ran fine for a week now sometimes it starts with no problem sometimes it doesn't even turn over some time it seems like it is not getting gas

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The difficult part to understand from your question is - the idea getting the engine to "turn over" - is it that the engine turns but will not start, or the engine will not turn at all even when engaging the key? If you are saying it seems like it's not getting gas, it sounds to me the engine turns but will not start sometimes. In this case, you'll need to look into the fuel system, ignition spark system and air intake system to find out what is not happening as it should. Your concern would seem to be fully unrelated to a starter replacement unless something was disturbed during the replacement that caused a new problem.
