What can cause me to have no heat?

What is your question?

I changed the thermostat, but still have no heat. Can it be the water pump, I do have a little belt noise when I start it.

Yes, a failed water pump can cause that. Is the blower fan for the heater running?

The more common thing on the mountaineer is the heater core stopping up.....feel both hoses going in and out of it to verify the temperature is close to the same. If they are not you may want to have it flushed or replaced.
