New radiator but still running hot why

I have a 2000 Mercury mountaineer my heat isn't working and the air isn't cooling but it was overheating and I put a new radiator in it and that stopped it for a while now it's starting to overheat again I'm wondering if it's the thermostat or what it could be please let me know
