Just an added note to Ron's very good thought -- always check the wiring connector at the switch, as they tend to overheat and melt, causing the same effect.

back side of brake peddle itself there is a white button looking thing that tells your lights to go on , it came loose , easy to fix with screw driver and 3 minutes time
