EGR Valve

EGR Valve and it's purpose: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EGR I suppose it is possible to damage an EGR valve in 8 miles although I think it would be very unlikely. The car would have to be running so bad that it would have been damaged probably before it even left the shop. Most of the time an EGR problem is diagnosed it is a problem with the controls for the EGR valve.
