Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Milan. The ticking or clicking sound from the rear passenger brake area, especially since everything is new, could be due to a few possible issues. If this noise started after the brake job, it may be best to look over the work that was done. There may be an improperly installed component like caliper hardware or a brake anti-rattle clip. It is also worth checking the backing plate to see if it was bent during service and is contacting the rotor. Since the noise quiets down when you tap the brakes, it seems likely that it's related to the movement of the brake components when they're not fully engaged. Another possibility is that you have a wheel bearing that is failing. Occasionally, they will make a ticking noise before you hear the "growling" noise we usually expect. If the noise persists, it's a good idea to have the brakes checked to ensure everything is tightened properly and there are no defects in the new parts. This should be done to prevent any potential damage or wear.
