What is your question?
Soon as I am driving down the road and get over three or four miles an hour my car in the rear passenger side starts making a ticking or clicking sound and does that until I touch the brakes but if I touch the brakes too hard it still makes the sound how do I get the sound to stop?
What makes this problem better or worse?
If I move the caliper with my tire iron a little bit
How long has your 2008 Mercury Milan had this problem?
Few months

Hello, sounds like something in the brake pad, brake rotor area is causing the noise, because if not - engaging the brakes would have no bearing on the noise at all. A good physical inspection of the rear brakes especially is needed to find out if it's a pad issue, a rotor issue, debris trapped or even a shim or rattle clip concern. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. The ticking or clicking sound you're hearing from the rear passenger wheel of your Milan is likely caused by a faulty or improperly installed brake component. The possibilities include a foreign object lodged in the brake pad, brake hardware contacting the rotors, or even a defect in the rotor. Since your brakes are a critical safety component, it's a good idea to have them checked to ensure everything is installed correctly and the new parts are free of defects. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
