What is your question?
Not hearing anything but I can't disengage out of 4 wheel drive .I've looked for button on inside and there isn't one. I'm wondering if the 4 wheel drive unlocks on hubs/wheels
How long has your 2006 Mercury Mariner had this problem?
Not long

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Fear not! There may be a simple solution to your woes! On the Mariner, the four-wheel-drive system is automatic and controlled electronically, rather than manually with locking hubs! To disengage four-wheel drive, you typically don't need to press a button; instead, the vehicle's computer system manages this based on driving conditions. However, if you're having trouble disengaging the four-wheel drive and there's no button inside, it might be worth checking the fuse related to the four-wheel-drive system. Additionally, ensure that the transfer case isn't stuck in four-wheel drive due to mechanical issues. If you're unable to resolve the issue yourself, it's advisable to consult a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
