What is your question?
I recently bought a new battery after the old one died 2 weeks prior. Now dashboard lights won't come on. Fuses are good per Auto Zone employee
What makes this problem better or worse?
Just won't come on
How long has your 2006 Mercury Mariner had this problem?

Hello, are you speaking of the illumination for nighttime driving, or all dash lights including display information? If that's the case, there must be some kind of blown fuse, even If someone told you otherwise. If it's illumination - make sure to check your lighting dial to ensure it's on the bright setting.
Autozone employees are in the business of selling parts - they are not trained in diagnosing problems. If he didn't use a test light or a power probe to check your fuses, & check at multiple fuse boxes, he did not check your fuses properly. I would 1st check the dash light dimmer switch to make sure it isn't dialed to dim, if not, then find a wiring diagram to see which fuses, power sources, & grounds are related.
