2004 mariner ignition problem

Hello, I'm not sure what the unlock button would do for the ignition switch, but having to get the ignition switch in the perfect position means it is not making good contact internally in the start position. The good news is, replacing the electrical portion of the ignition switch will not require you to get new keys or even call a locksmith. Be aware, however, that without hands-on diagnosis, I cannot know for sure that is the issue, but it seems clear cut to me.
