Airbag icon light, comes on and rings, blinks and stays on.

I have a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, under 34000 miles and the airbag icon light comes on, beeps, blinks and stays on. I read a lot of complaints with other Mercury Grand Marquis but from different years, and all of the other complaints which were from another website, or from the NHTSA and at the end of everyone's complaint they ended it with that it should be a recall. I don't know what to do Can you provide me with some help or answers.
