that's the plan my daughters taking the car to dealer on Tuesday (since car is out state.) So the BCM might be broken. I did replace LCM about 4 years ago do to the heads lights going out on the car. is the flickering a common problem ?
I don't think the module itself is the problem.. I still think it's a door ajar switch which is an integral part of the door latch assem.. This scan test can be done at any good independent auto repair shop!.... Just curious, did you get reimbursed for the LCM and installation fee from Ford Motors?
That's cool... One thing that may help with the flickering lights.. Open doors and spray the latch assemblies down with WD-40, I mean wash them out completely, then close & open a few times... A little compressed air is helpful as well.. I've had 'very good' luck with that!!.. It's worth a shot.. The scanner will show which door is at fault is the advantage there!.. Good luck with it!
Crap, you're lucky if they get it full of oil anymore.... The extras have fallen by the wayside, unfortunately! Post results of door latch lube.. It may help others..
Good day.
no dash light when the lights are flickering.
Strongly suggest scan test so live data for BCM can be viewed while vehicle is test driven!
