Key does not turn off car when turned to off position

You'll need to obtain shop manual information to do this work. Brief description is the key is turned to the on position and a pin in the column is depressed to remove the cylinder. It's really best you obtain printed manual information on this though, from a site such as www.alldatadiy.com, for example.
Just so you’ll know the IGNITION SWITCH is not the part the key goes into - that is called the lock cylinder ... The ignition switch is the electrical portion the lock cylinder engages. In any event you’ll need some form assistance if attempting to replace any of these components.. I highly recommend leaving it to a professional. Good luck!
