Your speaker install was not done correctly. Take it back. This is not normal.
IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY PUT A NEW ALTERNATOR IN IT. THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT. IM STILL TRYING TO FIND ANSWERS.
if you also have an amp you will need to get a bigger power wire to connect the amp to the battery... if no amp then you just need to pull the radio out and check the red wire on the back of the radio and make sure it is connected and taped all the way with not wires out if it touches ANYTHING it will cause all lights to dim because of a bad connection then things will start blowing... radio...fuses...let me know if you need anymore assistance.
Its my daughters car and the speaker system was installed by a reputalble company. She has also replaced the alternator and this did not solve the problem. Help!
that is perfectly normal, anyone who says different shouldn't try there hand at car audio at all... the problem is your stock electrical can't meet the demands of a stereo system an easy fix is doing the big 3 wiring upgrade just google it, or you can put another battery in parallel with the primary which is what most bass heads will do(i am one) hope this helps. any questions and i will gladly help you my phone number is 1-256-324-0771 and my name is adam
