What would i check first for a radding nosie in the motor of my car got oil got water but sounds like a bent rod

Hello, You want to know where the noise is coming from, and how loud it is. If it is extremely fast tapping, you are probably experiencing wear on the valvetrain (noise in top end). If you are hearing a slower loud noise that really thumps, you are probably hearing a bearing issue (connecting rod). If you can't decide, you can always remove the valve covers and look at the lifters for wear before going any further. Most techs will know what it is based on the sound.
