Why won’t hard top not open. Message says it’s locked while vehicle is in motion

Was it all working prior to the battery replacement? If so, retrace the steps taken to perform that repair and see what may have changed. It would seem to me that the module that controls allowing the roof to open is not seeing what it needs to see -- a vehicle not in motion, a vehicle secured with a parking brake on in park or neutral gear -- that sort of thing. Testing is required.
