The transmission in Sport mode does not downshift

What is your question?

After driving for awhile it won't downshift - causing a stall - I am assuming it is in a higher gear - turn it off and on and it drives fine for awhaile. -

What makes this problem better or worse?

How long has your 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK280 had this problem?

Months in Sport mode -- just recently in Comfort
