What is your question?
My 2007 MBZ SL 550 is well maintained and I've had my car for two years now and recently, I stopped at a gas station to fill up and I went to start up the engine and I got a whirring noise, all lights and indicators worked, but the engine wasn't cranking. AAA towed me to my mechanic after biz hours and the next morning my mechanic called me to ask what the problem was. The car had started for him. After running diagnostics, he changed the battery in the starter. A week later (at the same gas station) and stranded motorist asked for a jump. I helped him out, got him started and then my car wouldn't start. After 15 minutes, it started. A week after I was visiting my parents and the car (after sitting in their car for 3 hours) would not start at all. Again I towed it to my mechanic. He couldn't figure out the problem but suggested I use the original Key Fob. I replaced the battery in the key fob hoping to fix the issue -no result. I'm hesitant to drive and get stranded

Hello, I can't say for sure, but it could be that the starter motor of the car is intermittently failing. If there is a problematic spot in the starter, and it's in that position, it won't crank the engine. It's a total guess, and warrants continued observation and testing.
