Looking at buying 2005 SL55 AMG with 41000 miles, clean carfax but have concern
What is your question?
The rear crankshaft seal has been replaced twice in the last 3000 miles or so, could this be sign of serious engine problem and wouldn't the engine and transmission have to be removed to do this?

Ya I kinda figured its not good at all, it was repaired twice at a mercedes dealership and you would think if there was a crankshaft issue causing this they would have addressed it but I also know how dealers are so idk. Any idea how much this repair costs?
