right rear strut????

What is your question?

I was told that my right rear strut needs to be replaced as soon as possible. I' alittle confused because I can't find information here or other sites discussing this problem....Is it referred to as something other than a right rear strut?? The estimate to do the repairs was a bit high just want ot be sure what i'm getting into and if it is necessary. thanks' carrie
