What is your question?
I purchased a 03 MB SL500. I've had to bring the car to the Dealer 7 times over the past 1 1/2 years to repair the ABC system. In total the car was at the dealers shop for over 40 days. It appears that I have a lemon or there is a design flaw with this model which Mercedes Benz should recall and correct. I have only put on a couple of hundred miles since the last repair but my warranty just expired and the dealer has informed me that the repair can be quit costly! Are they real. I contacted MB NJ office and they asked me what dealer did the work and then called me back and said that they might be able to work with me and suggested that i bring it back to the dealer. I then told the rep that if they couldn't fix it the past 7 times what makes you think they will this time. ANY SUGGESTIONS

If the problem was being addressed under warranty, and now the warranty has expired, then they should continue to pay for this until the problem is fixed. You should take this issue to the higher ups in the Dealer, like the Service Manager, General Manager and the owner. Write them all a letter, and explain to them the issue. Demand that they get the best technician available at the Dealer, and that they exhaust all their resources with Mercedes (e.g. field technical help).
I will follow you're recommendation but can another MB Dealer do the work?
Sure, it might be best to go to another dealer, just try to have all the repair orders with you when you go so they can get a good idea as to what has been done to try and address this. Best of luck!
