My 96 mb 500 sl quickly overheated after gasing up within 8 miles blew the motor

first the ac failed and then the oil light whent on and the temperature guage off the chart within a few minutes from being stopped. The car had been hit the prior day and I need to confirm the relationship for the insurance to pay. Please Help!
