My FAB will set and release the alarm only. Does not lock and unlock...does not open the trunk...the gas tank cap is not connected, its been cut.

Your key fob may not be the concern; you could have a body control module issue or a power door lock issue. Diagnostic testing is required to find out what is going on; no guessing to be done here. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
