Sus. pump come's on but car will not rise up what could be the problem?

I am having the same problem. Let me tell you my thoughts. Mine is down in the front on both sides. As I understand it, there are 2 struts and one pump (air compressor) for the front air suspension system. I reason that both struts would not go out at the same time and for that reason I have a bad pump or one that is leaking. The remove and replace of the pump appears easy - on line videos are available on youtube. One source for trouble shooting mentioned a tube that delivers air pressure from one part of the pump to another and also apparently to the struts, and that frequent leaks occurred at a seal. The replacement part for that tube has been modified to prevent recurrence of that problem. I am going to put mine on ramps tomorrow and blow smoke at the pump to see if it indicates a leak. If no, I also understand that the pump has diaphragms that rupture. I may take it apart and see. A replacement pump is available from O'Rileys for about $465 but they recommend replacing the struts before replacing a pump. Each strut is about $500. Ed
There are places online that sells rebuilt pumps and struts for 399. ea. ORileys is wrong about replacing struts first if you hear a leak it maybe from the pump or a line first before you buy parts.
Thanks Ed please let me know the out come. I also hear the air leaking I hope it just a broken line. Will post after I get it checked out. WPinsc
