When I press the gas down my AC decreases. What could it be?

You most likely have a vacuum operated switch which is supposed to cut off the a/c compressor when you accelerate hard. This is designed to give you maximum power when you need it, as for passing or climbing steep hills. Locate the switch and bypass it for testing purposes, then replace it, if it's the culprit.
