Starter Lockout

I had exactly the same symptoms after removing the failing PSE module that provides vacuum and pressure for the door and trunk lock actuators, and also the rear seat headrest release. Once I plugged the connectors back in the car started normally. I could not find any other descriptions like this anywhere; I also find it interesting that there are oufits that will repair the PSE module but don't mention that it may prevent the car from starting.
