2010 Mercedes ML 350 hood open warning won't clear

I've recently notices some issues with Myerstown 2010 Mercedes ML 350 in snowy/icy conditions. Last week the proximity sensors went nuts until the conditions warmed up and thawed everything off the car. That was to be expected. Today in the snow, my hood open warning light won't clear. I opened and closed it several times with the same results. I'm guessing it's also weather related but if anyone has any other suggestions I'm open to them!

This could a broken or faulty hood latch sensor. They are part of the hood latch and you can pull them out for inspection easily. Just open the hood and they are held in with 2 10mm bolts on each side. Take those out and make sure the sensors are not broken and still connected.
