Rear tailgate will latch and unlatch but won't lift or close (electric) any idea

Hello, The motor is behind the trim in the rear of the vehicle behind the last side window. The motor is likely at fault here, but you have to test for signal at the motor when you press the raise/lower buttons from all three positions plus the remote.
