Starting Issues
What is your question?
Randomly my Benz won't start. I put in the key, turn it to start and it "coughs". Turn the key back, turn the key again and it starts. Sometimes it "coughs" 2 or 3 times before it starts. I have replaced the starter & the crank position sensor and it still does it. Battery & altenator check out, but it is the original battery. Help!

When you say "cough", do you mean it engine doesn't crank at all? Or that the engine is cranking but doesn't start? Sometimes with the electronic keys, the transponder in them can get damaged. If your car sometimes doesn't crank when you turn the key, your issue might actually be the key itself (if you are using a key with a transponder).
