THe system is always set to work. You can use the LOW RANGE feature to test if the transfer case is working. Put the car in neutral and press low range. THis is to be used only for LOW speed.

So I put it in Neutral, engaged the Low Range. The light came on for the Low Range, and I was able to drive it. Does this mean the AWD is working correctly?
