What cause my ML320 mbz 2001 to just stall out, than it starts runs

Once twice day... had mechanic put in electric fuel pump. Oct 2019 just had master cylinder replaced ,having problem with brake power booster replaced 2 yrs ago,brakes pedal, like cement..stops but pedal stiff?
