1, ETS= Electronic Traction System , a control module monitoring / adjust wheel speeds and manages the best possible traction and avoid slip. It works together with the ABS. The car has to see an SDS (OE MB) diagnostic computer and retrieve diagnostic trouble codes and live data of the system to find out what causing the problem. 2, You can buy the part, do the job yourself: hard to tell without knowing what's the exact problem. 3, It's a complex system with many parts, like sensors, pump, control modules, wiring harness incl. network cables. You can google: How MB ETS works? I bet you will find lots of useful info. Zee
Hi, a diagnostic check is needed to verify which sensor or module is fault. The ETS is part of your ABS system, they share speed sensors etc. The ETS light will come on when its activated (car slipping while foot on the gas peddle) and the ABS light will turn on when its activated (car slipping while foot on the brake peddle). Question when the ETS light turns on does it stay on or does the light turn off as you're driving? GL. Ted
have your brake light switch replaced easy check is to start car and look to see if your brake lights are on when your foot ISNT on the brakes and that the brake lights come on when your foot is ON the brakes if lights arent working properly switch is bad.
