yellow engine light came in my E550 benz,my gas cap was loose,will it reset?

Hello, If the gas cap was the cause, the light would shut off after no more than a few days, but typically after the next system self-check (each time you start the engine). If there is another issue, the light will remain on. Scanning for trouble codes will add some context to the warning light.
