I have replaced batteries in the key however, the car will not recognize the key to start. Any suggestions

First thing you want to do is to make sure the battery is ok then insert the key in to the ignition and turn it as you would to start the car, if the instrument panel dose not show and lights in it. then the chances are your ignition/ immobilize is bad.
