What is your question?
I took the car to Burke Center Exxon, who have always provided reasonably priced and competent service to me. They charged the compressor, but found no electrical power going to compressor. Fuse and relay checked out. Any ideas? Will a non-Mercedes shop be able to read Mercedes computer codes? Thank you.

Hello, You may or may not be seeking any kind of "codes" for troubleshooting this concern. I would advise seeking a different shop that specializes in heating and air conditioning. the Exxon you speak of might be just fine with many things, but this system may be beyond their abilities. "No electrical power going to the compressor" could mean that there is no signal from the control unit in the vehicle to turn the compressor on. Keep in mind that your air conditioning compressor should turn on almost every time your ventilation system is activated, because even when you are not seeking cold air, it still dehumidifies the interior to make the inside of the vehicle comfortable. In any case, check with one of these trusted folks near you, check this link: http://repairpal.com/mercedes-benz-within-10-miles-of-atlanta-georgia-30346
Thank you for the informative reply! I suspect you are right about this being beyond the capabilities of the garage where the Mercedes spent the weekend. My wife heard that only Mercedes dealerships can read the codes on Mercedes vehicles, but your reply seems to indicate that an automobile shop specializing in heating and air conditioning seems to offer alternatives. I have moved to Fairfax, VA, 22032. Could you offer suggestions near that location? I'll figure out how to change my profile to reflect my new location. Thank you again for the quick reply.
Yes, just change your profile -- then you can do a search from there! Good luck!
