The battery died, but I recharged it, and now the electric fan will not turn off

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! When your E350’s radiator fan decides to run a marathon, it’s usually due to a few common issues. The fan running continuously, especially after a battery recharge, suggests that the fan relay might be stuck. The relay is responsible for turning the fan on and off; when it fails, it can constantly leave the fan running. Another possibility is a problem with the coolant temperature sensor. If the sensor is sending incorrect signals, it might be telling the fan to keep running, thinking the engine is overheating when it’s not. Lastly, there could be an issue with the control module that manages the fan. After a battery recharge, sometimes these modules can get a bit out of sync. You might want to start by checking and replacing the fan relay if necessary. If that doesn't solve the problem, then checking the coolant temperature sensor and the fan control module would be the next steps. If things get too tricky, bringing your E350 to a professional could save you a lot of time and headaches. Hang in there—your ride will be back to normal soon!
