2007 e350 my key won’t turn in the ignition to star the car.

What is your question?

I’ve tried moving the steering wheel back and forth to possibly unlock the column. I replaced the key batteries. The key also won’t open the trunk but it will lock and unlock the doors. It’s as if the key somehow is not fully programmed to the car anymore. Happened all of a sudden I was driving the car an hour ago

What makes this problem better or worse?

I can’t get into the trunk my blade key is turning but not opening it up
