What is your question?
When the engine is cold, the glow plug light on the dash will not come on when the key is turned to the "ON" position. If I try turning it further, to the "START" position, the engine will not turn over. The glow plug light must come on and then go out, in order for the ignition to crank the engine and start. The only way to start it then is to leave the key in the on position for about 2 to 3 minutes. I then can turn it off an on, until the glow plug light comes on. Once that lights up and goes out, the engine will start. Once the engine is warmed up, the engine can be shut off and started under the normal procedure. I replaced the glow plugs with the Berar 5v plugs recommended. This has been an intermittent problem that seems to be getting worse in the colder weather. Could the be a faulty glow plug, relay switch or is there something else that I should be looking at?

It might be the plug you installed. Do some homework on the forums. You can call Dublin Auto Repair and see if they have a solution for you.
Thanks for the reply. I did some research prior to the 6 glow plugs that I replaced. Every forum that I reviewed explained that the Bosch plugs are not the correct replacement plugs and that the 5v Beru glow plugs are the correct replacement. I called the dealership and asked the service department what glow plugs they would use. They also stated Beru. Also, this problem existed prior to the new glow plugs being installed.
I have the same car and I also changed the glow plugs, I had one go bad so I change all like spark plugs. I found that both the Beru and the Bosch plugs were used, the only way you can tell which ones were used is to take one out and look. The Bosch have a higher voltage 11.5v while the Beru I seem to remember they were lower voltage 5v. The problem is that both will fit but if you don't have the Bosch system then you are told to use the Beru. Check out Beru part number 001 159 74 01 the Bosch number is 80036. Good luck
