The Oil Pressure Gauge on my Mercedes is registering only 2 bars..Normally it's around 8. Oil was just changed 1000 miles ago..no leaks etc.

Its more than likely the oil pressure switch failing. If not the switch than the engine isn't getting proper oil pressure which can be very detrimental to the life of the vehicle. That is one thing I'd get checked sooner rather than later
