If I bent a pen in my transmission plug on a 2003 Mercedes E320 would it short anything out I bent number 11 Pin into 12 pin and drove it what could that cause

Bent a pin in the conductor plate plug now it's stuck in second gear I change the conductor plate and it's still stuck in second gear could I have shorted something out when I bent the pin I changed the the conductor plate twice with used conductor plate I have a five speed transmission showing a p0778 code and p0715
