As the outside air temperature reaches freezing the alarm on the vehicle activates. We use the key fob to silence the alarm from inside the house. there is no problem when the vehicle is in our heated garage. There has been no problem in previous winters. Lately, freezing temperature has occurred around 5:30 AM.
What makes this problem better or worse?
The problem occurs when the temperature drops
How long has your 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 had this problem?
The problem is new this winter.

Its not likely that the temp sensor in the car itself is activating your alarm. Its probably thge drop in temperature itself that is causing a malfunction with your alarm system. The alarm siren itself of the module that controls it. You will need to have it scanned to see where the issue is coming from or electrical testing on the alarm circuit itself. Both need to be done by a professional so you are not just guessing at whats wrong. Alex
