What is your question?
I have received quotes from four shops (including the dealer) on replacing my heater blower motor. All of the labor is about twice your estimate and all shops say that the heater blower motor can not be replaced without also replacing the sensor and regulator. Your estimated cost of repair #369 - $459 is less than half of all quotes received

Sir you dont have to be a mercedes mechanic to do this yourself,,go to youtube and they have an instruciton video on this ,,but also visit fcpeuro,,they have hundereds of videos that tell you exactly how to do this ,,i had a mechanic friend help me do this very job,,,it cost me less than what you quoted but i promise you can learn to do this if i can,,,Also search ebay for an original Behr, regulator,,they have them i bought one and put it on,,usually its not the blower just the voltage regulator,,,
Mercedes has required an "update" which includes a new blower motor, blower speed control and bottom cover for the blower motor. all of the shops should have explained this to you. repairpal does not get informed of each update a manufacturer makes. it is simply a guide, based on the best information available. Mercedes parts are usually not available in the aftermarket at a discount; it would be greatly different if you had a Chevy or Honda.
Now this is the type answer that is useful. Thanks for sharing
