What is your question?
It happened once before. My 13 pin connector leakes and My transmission module under the hood had at least 6 oz of tranny fluid in it. I changed it out and took out the 13 pinconnector and cleaned it. The car st that time was still shifting but would disengage and I had no gears or even park. After cleaning it it was the same but after it sat for 5 days I tried it again and the high itches whining noise was gone and the car worked fine for another 6 mo. This time it is stuck in limp mode in 2nd gear and I've cleaned both parts but my only way of resetting the code is to disconnect the battery. Is the code really getting cleared that way??
What makes this problem better or worse?
Stuck in limp mode 2nd gear

This is really common. If the control unit is still clean you may have an issue with the conductor plate. This is the part that the sleeve that you replaced, screws into. Check for codes and if you have any to do with turbine speed in the trans control unit you probably need the conductor plate. Here's what I'm talking about https://goo.gl/onUwUC Alex
