cruise control sometimes doesn't work

What is your question?

cruise control can work fine for 3/4 months then stop. come on again after a few days, then stop again when ever it chooses. Is there a relay or something that needs replacing? actually I'm in Australia but I had to enter a postcode so it came up Des Moines

First thing is be sure your brake lights are not coming on when you're not using the brakes. Check the brake switch position adjustment. Don't ride your left foot on the brake pedal. I'm not accusing you but lots of people ride the brake and cause problems so a word to the wise there. It may not be so easy to diagnose your cruise control from here, I'd suggest you find a MBZ specialist for diagnosis.

Thanks for that... brakes/brake lights, no problem as the occurrences are too random, and I always keep my foot clear of the brake pedal.... I have the car booked in to my MBZ speciaist soon... just thought I'd try and correct it on the cheap. Thanks again
