My 95 E320 does not get proper acceleration off the line and seems very sluggish, instead of light and zippy as a 214hp 3.2L engine. However, on the freeway the car has great top end acceleration. What might be the problem with this? Spark plugs, fuel filters, exhaust issues, an oil change? I use premium fuel always and just replaced the alternator, tensioner, and A/C compressor. I love the engine potentially but want the maximum power I can get.

Hi, Were able to get your 3.2L to respond they way you feel it should? Was there a problem or was it normal for this engine? Have you looked into any performance tuning for the engine? thanks!
