how the R&R Heater blower motor

What is your question?

I have a 1994 E320 that has 194.000 miles. The blower motor has apparently failed. The switch was assembly was replaced at ~150,000 and my hope is this is still ok. I have the chassis with the 'cabin filters' and have a replacement fan ready to put in. It seems I cannot remove the wiper arm. Any tips/tricks would be much appreciated.
