2003 MBZ clk 500 getting incorrect gear ratio error not shifting help

2003 clk 500 not shifting out of 2nd gear. I tried reset by starting car again it reset for a while now My scanner saying incorrect gear ratio not shifting.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Had it reset by cpu a year ago now same problem
