The ignition will not engage to allow the car to start Is there a sequence to reboot the vehicle after the battery has been disconnected ? The car will not get out of park.

Nothings better or worse, it just quit.

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. It sounds like the battery in question may no longer be serviceable, there are other possibilities of course but, everything starts (no pun intended) with the battery. If the battery fails to supply adequate power to the electrical system, the modules themselves will be unable to run the software that helps them perform their duties like starting the vehicle, engaging the shifter lock, and managing the powertrain or other systems.
