We stop the car, turn it off,get out and the drivers window lowers. Now what?

It's not a convertible. Would drop 5 inches. No frame around the window so it should drop a little and return. We played with it for hours last night. Finally got out on passgr side to keep it up. This morn I went out and it stayed up. So do I trust it?
