Air blows hot. Eco light stays yellow when ac is off. condenser runs continuously

What is your question?

Loud turbine sounds. Evidently clutch is not disengaging???? Happened on a 100 plus degree day in heavy city traffic. Ran fine and just quit after 6-7 hours of driving. Eco light remains Amber when ac is off and it sounds and looks like the condenser continues to run. No leaks noticed.

What makes this problem better or worse?
